With the triumph, Emporia moves its record to 9-9 on the year. The Spartans travel to Washburn Rural (Topeka, KS) to clash with the Blues in a non-league game on Thursday, May 12. The Blues come into the game with a record of 9-1.

In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the Heights Falcons (Wichita, KS) in a Greater Wichita City game, on Tuesday, May 10. Kapaun Mt. Carmel will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record.
