The Rye Cove Eagles baseball team (Clinchport, VA), 6-3 in Tuesday's league outing with the visiting Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA)
The Spartans now hold a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Castlewood for a Cumberland outing on Friday, May 10. Eastside will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-2.
Next, the Eagles confront the J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA) in a Cumberland outing, on Friday, May 10. Rye Cove will attempt to advance on its 12-2 season record. The Black Raiders go into the outing with a 2-7 record after their 11-1 league loss to Eastside (Coeburn, VA).
