The Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) softball routed the visiting Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), 13-0 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Hawks (11-0) will now prepare for their bout against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA). The Grizzlies go into the non-league bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Grassfield toppled King's Fork (Suffolk, VA), 15-0, in a non-league bout.
The Warriors now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Western Branch for a non-league bout on Thursday, May 9. Nansemond River will confront a Bruins squad coming off a 13-2 non-league loss to Hickory (Chesapeake, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 4-2.
