The Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) soccer bounced the host James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), 5-0 in Tuesday's league bout.

With the victory, Alleghany improves its record to 6-8 on the season. The Cougars host Glenvar (Salem, VA) to meet the Highlanders in a Three Rivers battle on Thursday, May 9. The Highlanders come into the battle with a record of 14-0. Glenvar won 6-0 in their recent league battle against Carroll County (Hillsville, VA)

The Knights (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Cougars come into the Three Rivers battle with a 5-6 record.
