Brookville Bees (Lynchburg, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Bees now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they host Jefferson Forest for a Seminole challenge on Friday, May 10. Brookville will battle a Cavaliers squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Rustburg (Rustburg, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Amherst County falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Lancers host Glass (Lynchburg, VA) to battle the Hilltoppers in a Seminole challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Hilltoppers enter the challenge with a record of 4-10. Glass lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA)
