Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD) and the host Canton C-Hawks (Canton, SD), witnessed Elk Point-Jefferson's softball squad prevail over Canton by a count of 11-2.

The Huskies now sport a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Dell Rapids for a Class A match on Monday, May 13. Elk Point-Jefferson will meet a Quarriers squad coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Arlington (Arlington, SD). The Quarriers record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Canton moves to 0-12 on the season. The C-hawks host Beresford (Beresford, SD) to meet the Watchdogs in a Class A match on Friday, May 10. The Watchdogs go into the match with a record of 14-6. Beresford won 16-4 in their recent non-league match against Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy (Freeman, SD)
