Ichabod Crane Riders (Valatie, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Catholic Central Crusaders (Troy, NY), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Riders now own a 17-0 record. They take the field next when they host Albany Academy for Girls for a Section 2 Colonial challenge on Wednesday, May 8. Ichabod Crane will face a Bears squad coming off a 15-1 league loss to Schalmont (Schenectady, NY). The Bears record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Catholic Central falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Cobleskill-Richmondville (Cobleskill, NY) to face the Bulldogs in a Section 2 Colonial challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 7-7. Cobleskill-Richmondville lost 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Voorheesville (Voorheesville, NY)
