Emerald Ridge Jaguars (South Hill, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Sumner Spartans (Sumner, WA), 9-2 in a league challenge.

The Jaguars now own a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they host Sumner for a 4A South Puget Sound challenge on Friday, May 10. Emerald Ridge will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Puyallup (Puyallup, WA). The Spartans record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Sumner falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Spartans host Puyallup (Puyallup, WA) to battle the Vikings in a 4A South Puget Sound challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 13-7. Puyallup lost 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Olympia (Olympia, WA)
