Rensselaer Rams (Rensselaer, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hudson Blue Hawks (Hudson, NY), 10-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 3-5 record.

With the loss, Hudson falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Blue hawks travel to Maple Hill (Castleton on Hudson, NY) to face the Wildcats in a Section 2 Patroon challenge on Friday, May 10. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 8-8. Maple Hill won 16-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Hoosic Valley (Schaghticoke, NY)
