Lincoln Patriots (Sioux Falls, SD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Jefferson Cavaliers (Sioux Falls, SD), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 14-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rapid City Central for a Class AA challenge on Friday, May 10. Lincoln will battle a Cobblers squad coming off a 25-4 league loss to Brandon Valley (Brandon, SD). The Cobblers record now stands at 0-14.

With the loss, Jefferson falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Riggs (Pierre, SD) to battle the Governors in a Class AA challenge on Friday, May 10. The Governors enter the challenge with a record of 2-12. Riggs lost 9-7 in their recent league challenge against Mitchell (Mitchell, SD)
