Rhode Island High School Softball - Mount St. Charles Academy holds off Tiverton

Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties (Woonsocket, RI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Tiverton Tigers (Tiverton, RI), 9-7 in a league challenge.
The Mounties now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central for a Division 3 game on Wednesday, May 8. Mount St. Charles Academy will clash with a Knights team coming off a 22-8 league loss to Davies Career & Tech (Lincoln, RI). The Knights record now stands at 2-6.
In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) in a Division 3 game, on Thursday, May 9. Tiverton will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 3-6 record after their 14-0 league loss to Shea (Pawtucket, RI).
