Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT) and the host Wolcott Eagles (Wolcott, CT), witnessed Woodland Regional's softball squad prevail over Wolcott by a count of 14-2.

The Hawks now sport a 15-2 record. They play next when they travel to Naugatuck for a non-league match on Thursday, May 9. Woodland Regional will face a Greyhounds squad coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Seymour (Seymour, CT). The Greyhounds record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, Wolcott moves to 6-9 on the season. The Eagles travel to Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT) to face the Crusaders in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass test on Friday, May 10. The Crusaders enter the test with a record of 13-4. Holy Cross won 13-6 in their recent league test against St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT)
