New York High School Baseball - Amherst Central defeats Sweet Home

May 7, 2025: Amherst, NY 14226

In Wednesday's league game, the host Amherst Central Tigers baseball team scored a close 5-0 victory over the Sweet Home Panthers.

The Tigers (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Starpoint (Lockport, NY). The Spartans enter the ECIC II game with a 2-8 record. In their last game, Starpoint held off Williamsville East (East Amherst, NY), 3-2, in a league game.

Next, the Panthers face the Grand Island Vikings (Grand Island, NY) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 8. Sweet Home will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 7-2 record after their 12-7 league win over North Tonawanda (North Tonawanda, NY).
