The Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) baseball trounced the visiting Clay County Panthers (Clay, WV), 12-4 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Grizzlies now own a 15-11 record. They take the field next when they host Woodrow Wilson for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 8. Nicholas County will clash with a Flying Eagles team coming off a 4-0 league win over Riverside (Belle, WV). The Flying Eagles record now stands at 15-9.
With the defeat, Clay County drops to 9-10 on the year. The Panthers travel to Capital (Charleston, WV) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 8. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 6-14.
