Ohio High School Baseball - Springfield edges Coventry

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH) and the host Coventry Comets (Akron, OH), saw Springfield's baseball team beat Coventry by a margin of 7-5.

The Spartans (3-13) will now prepare for their battle against Mogadore (Mogadore, OH). The Wildcats enter the non-league battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, Mogadore by Lake Center Christian (Hartville, OH), 10-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Comets face the Chippewa Chipps (Doylestown, OH) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, May 8. Coventry will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Chipps enter the battle with a 8-7 record after their 2-1 league win over Dalton (Dalton, OH).
