The Fall Mountain Wildcats baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Newport Tigers to 2 in the Wildcats league win on Wednesday.
The Wildcats now hold a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Conant for a Division III test on Monday, May 12.
With the defeat, Newport drops to 0-9 on the year. The Tigers host Hinsdale (Hinsdale, NH) to play the Pacers in a non-league test on Thursday, May 8. The Pacers go into the test with a record of 2-7.
