Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) and the host Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA), saw Franklin County's soccer squad triumph over Northside by a count of 6-0.

The Eagles (11-1) will now prepare for their battle against William Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Terriers enter the Blue Ridge battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, William Byrd was overwhelmed by Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Vikings confront the Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) in a Blue Ridge battle, on Friday, May 9. Northside will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the battle with a 9-3 record after their 2-1 league win over Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA).
