Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA) and the host Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA), saw Prince Edward County's soccer squad knock off Amelia County by a count of 3-1.

The Eagles (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA). The Statesmen enter the James River battle with a 11-1 record. In their last battle, Randolph-Henry tipped Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Raiders battle the Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) in a James River battle, on Monday, May 12. Amelia County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Dukes enter the battle with a 0-10 record after their 8-0 league loss to Nottoway (Nottoway, VA).
