In Wednesday's league match, the host Animo South Los Angeles Panthers softball team scored a tight 9-5 victory over the Stella High Charter Academy Eagles.

The Panthers (8-3) will now prepare for their match against Middle College (Los Angeles, CA). The Cougars go into the Crosstown/Ocean match with a 13-2 record. In their last match, Middle College tipped Alliance Health Services Academy (Los Angeles, CA), 22-7, in a league match.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Animo Robinson Monarchs (Los Angeles, CA) in a Crosstown/Ocean match, on Friday, May 9. Stella High Charter Academy will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Monarchs go into the match with a 4-10 record after their 30-1 league loss to Middle College (Los Angeles, CA).
