California High School Softball - Pioneer bounces Del Mar

May 7, 2025: San Jose, CA 95128

The Pioneer Mustangs softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Del Mar Dons to 2 in the Mustangs league win on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 7-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincoln for a Santa Teresa battle on Thursday, May 8. Pioneer will encounter a Lions team coming off a 17-1 league win over Christopher (Gilroy, CA). The Lions record now stands at 13-7.

With the loss, Del Mar moves to 3-12 on the season. The Dons host Silver Creek (San Jose, CA) to encounter the Raiders in a Santa Teresa outing on Monday, May 12. The Raiders come into the outing with a record of 8-14. Silver Creek lost 13-1 in their recent league outing against Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA)
