Connecticut High School Softball - Nonnewaug bounces Gilbert

In Wednesday's league match, the host Nonnewaug Chiefs softball team scored a nice 19-1 win over the Gilbert Yellowjackets.
The Chiefs (13-0) will now prepare for their match against Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT). The Spartans come into the Berkshire match with a 6-8 record. In their last match, Shepaug Valley notched a victory over Terryville (Terryville, CT), 21-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets battle the Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT) in a Berkshire match, on Monday, May 12. Gilbert will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Bears come into the match with a 6-4 record after their 6-0 league loss to Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT).
