The Perry Panthers triumphed over the visiting Hoover Vikings softball squad by a count of 8-1 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Panthers play the Green Bulldogs (Uniontown, OH) in a Federal challenge, on Thursday, May 8. Perry will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 13-3 record after their 15-14 non-league loss to Tallmadge (Tallmadge, OH).

The Vikings (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Jackson (Massillon, OH). The Polar Bears enter the Federal challenge with a 15-5 record.
