New York High School Softball - Vestal bounces Johnson City

In Wednesday's league match, the host Vestal Golden Bears softball team scored a tight 14-7 win over the Johnson City Wildcats.
The Golden Bears (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Maine-Endwell (Endwell, NY). The Spartans come into the Section 4 Southern Tier - Metro match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, Maine-Endwell nipped Union-Endicott (Endicott, NY), 13-3, in a league match.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Sidney Team (Sidney, NY) in a non-league match, on Saturday, May 10. Johnson City will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Team come into the match with a 4-4 record after their 13-10 league win over Delaware Academy (Delhi, NY).
