The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL) and the host Lake Forest Scouts (Lake Forest, IL), observed Lake Zurich's softball team prevail over Lake Forest by a tally of 18-0.

The Bears (11-13) will now prepare for their bout against Carmel (Mundelein, IL). The Corsairs go into the non-league bout with a 14-6 record. In their last bout, Carmel knocked off Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL), 12-7, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Scouts clash with the Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, May 8. Lake Forest will attempt to advance on its 2-16 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 7-17 record after their 7-4 league win over Niles North (Skokie, IL).
