New Jersey High School Softball - Middletown North can't get by St. John-Vianney

St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Middletown North Lions (Middletown, NJ), 1-0 in a league game.
With the triumph, St. John-Vianney improves its record to 11-1 on the year. The Lancers travel to Steinert (Hamilton, NJ) to play the Spartans in a non-league game on Monday, May 12. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 13-1.
The Lions now hold a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Donovan Catholic for a non-league game on Friday, May 9. Middletown North will play a Griffins squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Marlboro (Marlboro, NJ). The Griffins record now stands at 19-0.
