The Shepherd Bluejays softball squad (Shepherd, MI), was routed 8-2 in Wednesday's league contest with the visiting Standish-Sterling Panthers (Standish, MI)

With the triumph, Standish-Sterling improves its record to 7-5 on the year. The Panthers host North Branch (North Branch, MI) to face the Broncos in a non-league contest on Friday, May 9. The Broncos enter the contest with a record of 1-1. North Branch won 5-2 in their recent league contest against Algonac (Algonac, MI)

The Bluejays now hold a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Meridian for a Jack Pine contest on Monday, May 12. Shepherd will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Frankenmuth (Frankenmuth, MI). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-6.
