The Sheyenne Mustangs baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Red River Roughriders to 7 in the Mustangs league win on Thursday.

The Mustangs now own a 11-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wahpeton for a Class A - East Region test on Friday, May 8. Sheyenne will play a Huskies team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Devils Lake (Devils Lake, ND). The Huskies record now stands at 1-12.

With the defeat, Red River drops to 9-4 on the year. The Roughriders host Grand Forks Central (Grand Forks, ND) to play the Knights in a Class A - East Region test on Friday, May 8. The Knights go into the test with a record of 5-17. Grand Forks Central lost 15-7 in their recent league test against Fargo North (Fargo, ND)
