Whitewater Whippets (Whitewater, WI) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Monroe Cheesemakers (Monroe, WI), 8-5 in a league game.

With the triumph, Whitewater improves its record to 8-9 on the year. The Whippets travel to Turner (Beloit, WI) to play the Trojans in a Rock Valley - Rock game on Friday, May 8. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 14-2. Turner won 10-0 in their recent league game against Big Foot (Walworth, WI)

The Cheesemakers now hold a 13-7 record. They play next when they travel to Clinton for a Rock Valley - Rock game on Friday, May 8. Monroe will play a Cougars squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Edgerton (Edgerton, WI). The Cougars record now stands at 14-6.
