Galva Wildcats (Galva, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Midland Timberwolves (Varna, IL), 18-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Wethersfield/Annawan for a Lincoln Trail challenge on Monday, May 10. Galva will face a Titans squad coming off a 17-5 league loss to Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL). The Titans record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Midland falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Timberwolves travel to Flanagan/Woodland (Flanagan, IL) to face the Falcons in a Tri-County challenge on Tuesday, May 11. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
