Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Labette County Grizzlies (Altamont, KS) and the host Parsons Vikings (Parsons, KS), saw Labette County's baseball squad knock off Parsons by a count of 14-1.

In their next game, the Grizzlies battle the Pittsburg Dragons (Pittsburg, KS) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, May 9. Labette County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Dragons come into the test with a 9-4 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Labette County (Altamont, KS).

With the defeat, Parsons falls to 6-10 on the season. The Vikings travel to Independence (Independence, KS) to battle the Bulldogs in a Southeast Kansas test on Tuesday, May 9. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 5-12. Independence won 9-8 in their recent non-league bout against Iola (Iola, KS)
