The crowd at Monday's league test between the Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC) and the visiting West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC), saw Pender's soccer squad triumph over West Columbus by a count of 7-0.

The Patriots now hold a 4-12 record. They play next when they travel to West Bladen for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 9. Pender will meet a Knights squad coming off a 7-4 league loss to Midway (Dunn, NC). The Knights record now stands at 6-13.

With the loss, West Columbus drops to 0-10 on the season. The Vikings host East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC) to meet the Gators in a Waccamaw 1A/2A test on Wednesday, May 10. The Gators come into the test with a record of 3-11. East Columbus lost 4-0 in their recent league test against South Columbus (Tabor City, NC)
