Virginia High School Baseball - Appomattox County wallops Altavista

Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) and the host Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA), saw Appomattox County's baseball squad knock off Altavista by a count of 11-1.

Next up, the Raiders clash with the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, May 10. Appomattox County will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Governors go into the match with a 5-10 record after their 12-0 non-league win over Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA).

The Colonels (4-6) will now prepare for their match against Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA). The Statesmen go into the non-league match with a 3-3 record.
