East Central Trojans (St. Leon, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN), 6-2 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Franklin County for a challenge on Tuesday, May 16. East Central will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-7 league loss to Rushville (Rushville, IN). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Connersville falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Spartans host Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IN) to battle the Golden Bears in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Golden Bears enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Shelbyville lost 17-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Mooresville (Mooresville, IN)
