New York High School Softball - Alexandria Central bounces Lyme Central

The Alexandria Central Purple Ghosts routed the visiting Lyme Central Indians softball squad by a final score of 13-2 in Monday's league battle.

The Purple Ghosts (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against South Lewis (Turin, NY). The Falcons go into the Section 3 Frontier C battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, South Lewis notched a victory over General Brown (Dexter, NY), 6-2, in a non-league battle.

The Indians now possess a 1-11 record. They play next when they host Belleville Henderson Central for a Frontier D battle on Tuesday, May 9. Lyme Central will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 14-4 league loss to Sackets Harbor Central (Sackets Harbor, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 2-7.
