Michigan High School Softball - Ishpeming bounces Gwinn

Spectators at Monday's league match between the Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI) and the host Gwinn Modeltowners (Gwinn, MI), witnessed Ishpeming's softball squad prevail over Gwinn by a count of 16-1.

The Hematites now sport a 7-3 record. They play next when they host Westwood for a Western Peninsula match on Wednesday, May 10. Ishpeming will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Bark River-Harris (Harris, MI). The Patriots record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Gwinn moves to 0-5 on the season. The Modeltowners travel to Superior Central (Eben Junction, MI) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Thursday, May 25. The Cougars go into the match with a record of 3-2.
