Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Hedgesville Eagles (Hedgesville, WV) and the visiting Musselman Applemen (Inwood, WV), witnessed Hedgesville's softball squad tip Musselman by a count of 9-5.

The Eagles now sport a 19-9 record. They play next when they travel to Jefferson for a Eastern Panhandle match on Monday, May 15. Hedgesville will face a Cougars squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Washington (Charles Town, WV). The Cougars record now stands at 19-5.

With the loss, Musselman moves to 9-14 on the season. The Applemen travel to James Wood (Winchester, VA) to face the Colonels in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 9.
