Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 19-0 record. They take the field next when they host Castlewood for a Cumberland challenge on Thursday, May 11. Rye Cove will battle a Blue Devils squad coming off a 6-1 league loss to Eastside (Coeburn, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, J.I. Burton falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Black raiders travel to Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA) to battle the Titans in a Cumberland challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 5-9. Twin Springs won 9-1 in their recent league challenge against Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA)
