The Tamaqua Blue Raiders softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Jim Thorpe Olympians to 9 in the Blue Raiders league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Tamaqua moves its record to 4-9 on the year. The Blue Raiders host Our Lady of Lourdes Regional (Coal Township, PA) to clash with the Red Raiders in a Schuylkill I game on Tuesday, May 9. The Red Raiders come into the game with a record of 6-9. Our Lady of Lourdes Regional lost 14-4 in their recent league game against North Schuylkill (Ashland, PA)

In their next game, the Olympians clash with the Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils (Shenandoah, PA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 9. Jim Thorpe will attempt to move on its 1-16 season record. The Blue Devils come into the game with a 1-10 record after their 14-4 league loss to Schuylkill Haven (Schuylkill Haven, PA).
