Spectators at Monday's league match between the Williamsville North Spartans (Williamsville, NY) and the host Lancaster Legends (Lancaster, NY), witnessed Williamsville North's softball squad tip Lancaster by a count of 48-46.

The Spartans now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Frontier for a Section 6 Erie County I match on Thursday, May 11.

With the loss, Lancaster moves to 0-7 on the season. The Legends travel to Nardin Academy (Buffalo, NY) to face the Gators in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 9.
