The Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH) softball routed the visiting Ravenna Ravens (Ravenna, OH), 16-0 in Monday's league bout.

The Spartans (15-4) will now prepare for their bout against Streetsboro (Streetsboro, OH). The Rockets go into the Portage Trail - Metro bout with a 3-14 record. In their last bout, Streetsboro was routed by Field (Mogadore, OH), 11-1, in a league bout.

The Ravens now possess a 2-17 record. They play next when they host Woodridge for a Portage Trail - Metro bout on Wednesday, May 10. Ravenna will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 14-1 non-league win over Chagrin Falls (Chagrin Falls, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-13.
