Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA), 7-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Governors confront the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) in a Dogwood challenge, on Friday, May 10. Nelson County will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Dan River (Ringgold, VA).

The Cavaliers now have a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Altavista for a Dogwood challenge on Friday, May 10. Chatham will confront a Colonels team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Colonels record now stands at 0-8.
