Buchanan Bucks (Buchanan, MI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN), 10-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Bucks now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Kalamazoo Central for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14.

With the loss, New Prairie falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Cougars host Penn (Mishawaka, IN) to face the Kingsmen in a challenge on Monday, May 13. The Kingsmen enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
