The Fort Defiance Indians softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Riverheads Gladiators to 4 in the Indians non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Fort Defiance improves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Indians host Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA) to clash with the Bison in a non-league game on Thursday, May 9. The Bison come into the game with a record of 12-0. Buffalo Gap won 6-1 in their recent non-league game against Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA)

In their next game, the Gladiators clash with the James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, May 9. Riverheads will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 6-11 record after their 20-6 non-league win over Radford (Radford, VA).
