The New Kent Trojans softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Smithfield Packers to 1 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, New Kent moves its record to 8-3 on the year. The Trojans host Warhill (Williamsburg, VA) to clash with the Lions in a non-league game on Friday, May 10. The Lions come into the game with a record of 1-0.
In their next game, the Packers clash with the Jamestown Eagles (Williamsburg, VA) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 10. Smithfield will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record.
