Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Andrew Thunderbolts (Tinley Park, IL), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 25-4 record. They take the field next when they host Stagg for a SouthWest Suburban challenge on Thursday, May 9. Lincoln-Way Central will battle a Chargers squad coming off a 17-7 non-league loss to Evergreen Park (Evergreen Park, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 4-20.

With the loss, Andrew falls to 21-5 on the campaign. The Thunderbolts host Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL) to battle the Warriors in a SouthWest Suburban challenge on Friday, May 10. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 16-7. Lincoln-Way West won 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Lemont (Lemont, IL)
