The Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Bears routed the visiting Sebeka Trojans softball squad by a final score of 18-12 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Bears (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (Walker, MN). The Wolves go into the non-league battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley held off Red Lake (Red Lake, MN), 27-6, in a league battle.

The Trojans now possess a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Wadena-Deer Creek for a Park Region battle on Thursday, May 9. Sebeka will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 6-3 league win over New York Mills (New York Mills, MN). The Wolverines record now stands at 12-2.
