The Buckingham Knights routed the host Prince Edward County Eagles softball squad by a final score of 18-0 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Knights (10-3) will now prepare for their battle against Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA). The Statesmen go into the James River battle with a 15-3 record. In their last battle, Randolph-Henry topped Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA), 5-3, in a non-league battle.
The Eagles now possess a 0-13 record. They play next when they host William Campbell for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 9. Prince Edward County will meet a Generals squad coming off a 7-1 league loss to Chatham (Chatham, VA). The Generals record now stands at 7-8.
