Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Wauconda Bulldogs (Wauconda, IL), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Antioch for a Northern Lake County challenge on Thursday, May 9. Grant Community will face a Sequoits squad coming off a 15-10 non-league win over Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL). The Sequoits record now stands at 20-3.

With the loss, Wauconda falls to 14-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Crystal Lake Central (Crystal Lake, IL) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 10. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 18-7. Crystal Lake Central lost 10-1 in their recent league challenge against Hampshire (Hampshire, IL)
