The River Forest Ingots softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles to 1 in the Ingots league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, River Forest moves its record to 7-8 on the year. The Ingots travel to Marquette Catholic (Michigan City, IN) to clash with the Blazers in a non-league game on Monday, May 13. The Blazers come into the game with a record of 2-3. Marquette Catholic lost 19-0 in their recent non-league game against Morgan Township (Valparaiso, IN)

In their next game, the Fighting Eagles clash with the Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 10. Lake Station Edison will attempt to improve on its 2-15 season record. The Pirates enter the test with a 0-17 record after their 10-0 league loss to Lake Central (St. John, IN).
