The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL) and the visiting Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL), saw Marengo's softball squad nip Sandwich by a count of 6-5.

The Indians now sport a 22-6 record. They take the field next when they host Woodstock for a Kishwaukee River match on Friday, May 10. Marengo will face a Blue Streaks squad coming off a 10-7 non-league loss to Crystal Lake South (Crystal Lake, IL). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 1-20.

With the loss, Sandwich falls to 12-11 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Newark (Newark, IL) to face the Norsemen in a non-league match on Saturday, May 11. The Norsemen enter the match with a record of 21-4. Newark won 20-0 in their recent non-league match against Aurora Christian (Aurora, IL)
